iOS requires Full Access for any third-party keyboard to work — this isn't unique to Alif.

Alif has no regular text input — only ready-made phrase templates, so there's nothing else it could send besides them. We never read, store, or transmit anything you type. Only anonymous statistics are collected — crashes and how often phrases are used — to make the app better.

• Four forms of the salawat

The salawat now comes in four variants: the salawat sign on its own, or a mention of the Prophet alongside it — "Prophet Muhammad", "Muhammad", "Messenger of Allah". They work like the salam forms — press and hold the one you want until the pin appears, and it'll be set as your default, one tap away.

• Smart insert

Paste several phrases into the same text field and you don't have to think about formatting: each one lands on its own line, while "Masha Allah" and "Tabarak Allah" join with a comma, since they're usually written together. Backspace deletes an inserted phrase in one go.
