Estimated revenue

A model estimate with a likely range, not a reported figure.

No estimate. Apps outside the grossing charts, and some countries, have no reliable rank-to-revenue curve, so we show nothing rather than a guess.

How this estimate is made

Rank: we take the app's best Top Grossing rank on the latest chart day. Category ranks are converted into an equivalent overall rank, because a #10 in Finance earns far less than a #10 overall.

Curve: that equivalent rank is read off a rank-to-revenue curve anchored on public company revenue and market-data reports for the US iPhone App Store.

Country: the curve is scaled per country (Japan is roughly a third of the US, Türkiye under 1%). Where we have no scale, such as China, there is no estimate.

Range: the likely range widens with country, category and chart depth. It is a plausible span, not a statistical confidence interval.

Not included: ads, payments outside the App Store, and any difference between gross sales and what the developer keeps. Low confidence means indirect data; medium means several independent sources agree.

MAHJONG POINTS
The easy way to score Hong Kong mahjong. Tap the tiles in your winning hand and the app works out the fan, the points, and who wins what, then keeps a running four-player scoreboard for the whole night. Made for players who never learned to count the score.

TAP YOUR TILES, GET THE SCORE
Tap the real tiles you are holding and the winning patterns are detected automatically, from Common Hand and All Triplets to Full Flush and the big limit hands. A live readout shows your total fan and points as you build the hand.

SEE EXACTLY WHY
Tap the score for a full breakdown: every pattern that counted, the fan it is worth, and how the total converts to points. No more arguments at the table.

HOW YOU WON
Choose self-draw or by discard, set your seat wind and the round wind, and flag special wins like concealed hand, robbing the kong, last catch, or a heavenly or earthly hand. The result updates instantly.

FOUR-PLAYER SCOREBOARD
Record each win and every player's running total updates, with a leader crown, one-tap undo, and separate seasons to keep different nights apart. Swipe to remove a hand, drag to reorder, and tap any past hand to review the exact tiles it was made from — or load it straight back into the calculator.

TEN TILE SETS
Choose the artwork that looks like the set on your table: Wood, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Japan, Neon, Bronze, Clockwork, Stone or Cartoon. It changes the tiles everywhere, including hands you share.

SHARE A HAND
Turn any hand or the standings into a single image — the tiles, the patterns, the fan and the result — ready to drop into a chat.

SCAN YOUR TILES (BETA)
Lay your tiles in a row, take a photo, and the app reads them for you. Everything runs on your device: no account, no upload, no server. This is a beta feature and it does misread tiles, flowers and seasons especially, so you check and correct every tile before it is added.

CHEAT SHEET
A plain-language glossary of every scoring pattern, ordered cheapest to dearest and searchable, with the Chinese name alongside. Tap a pattern to load an example hand straight into the calculator.

THREE LANGUAGES
English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Medan Hokkien — the tile names stay in Chinese throughout. The app follows your phone's language on first launch.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No accounts, no ads, and no data collected. There are no servers: your scores, seasons and settings live in a plain file on your device, and photos you scan are read on the phone and never stored or sent anywhere. Sharing a hand creates an image only when you ask for it, and you choose where it goes.

Works on iPhone and iPad.

v1.4
  • Ten tile sets to choose from — Wood, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Japan, Neon, Bronze, Clockwork, Stone and Cartoon. Pick the one that looks like the set on your table.
  • Share a hand or the standings as an image — the tiles, the patterns, the fan and who wins, all in one picture you can drop into a chat.
  • Scan your tiles with the camera (Beta) — lay them in a row, take a photo, and check what was read before it is added. It runs entirely on your device: no account, no upload, nothing sent anywhere. It is a beta feature and it does misread tiles, flowers and seasons especially, so the review step is there for a reason.
  • Bigger tiles in the palette and in your hand, so tapping the right one is easier.
  • Swipe a recorded hand to delete it, drag to reorder, and tap the ⓘ to load any hand back into the Calculator.
  • The Reference tab is now the Cheat Sheet, with every pattern ordered cheapest to dearest.
  • Hand counts now follow kongs, so a hand with kongs shows the right target instead of insisting on 14.
  • Minimum to win 起糊 is back in Settings, under House rules: choose how many fan a hand needs before it counts as a win (0 to 10, off by default). A hand below it says so, right next to the Record button.
  • Every Cheat Sheet example now scores in the Calculator exactly what the Cheat Sheet shows. Where a pattern always comes with other fan, such as Small Archers with its two dragon triplets, the Cheat Sheet shows the full total and what it is made of.
  • Corrected the Chinese and Hokkien for Thirteen Orphans (十三幺), and No Flowers is now written 無花.
  • Redrawn dot tiles using the three inks real sets use, and sharper wind tiles.
  • Clearer privacy wording now that hands can be shared.
